We are so excited to introduce our new range of hand dyed and hand painted fabrics and kits.

We all love to create unique works of art - now you can make your designs totally unique every time with our original hand dyed fabric.  The colors and softness of the fabric is truly amazing - making stitching such a pleasure that you will be itching to start.

Each piece of fabric is totally unique as no 2 pieces are exactly the same, you can stitch the same piece on different pieces and always achieve a different result. 

Is the fabric colorfast?

We have taken excessive care with our hand dyed fabric which has been washed multiple times to remove sizing and any excess color from the fabric.  To ensure piece of mind we recommend a gentle rinse before any stitching is done, this removes any impurities and cleans your fabric for a fresh start.

Is there any special care I should take?

Our dying process requires multiple washing of the fabric, which removes most of the sizing giving Aida its firmness.  Due to this, our hand dyed Aida fabric is a lot more supple than other dyed fabrics and should be treated with care.  We suggest using an embroidery hoop when stitching your designs.

Washing and ironing of your hand dyed fabric is the same as standard fabrics and we include full care instructions with each piece sold.

We don’t recommend that any fabric especially our hand dyed fabric be left on frames, hoops or scroll rods when you are not stitching.  When you have finished stitching for the day remove them, or if using a scroll frame, loosen the tension – continual tension on frames or scrolls will cause fabrics to stretch, weaken and in some cases fray and tear.
